Current Offerings

Computer Programming

Our flagship course, Computer Programming takes students across a multi-grade journey from video game player to computer programmer.

In the first year, students program computers found within the game Minecraft in order to complete challenges and solve puzzles – it’s just like a real video game because it is a real video game.

By the end of the course, students are proficient in the programming language JavaScript, a programming language that is virtually always in-demand on the job market.

Digital Music Production

This course takes students through the creation of their own virtual music-making studio. Equipped with the best available options and given the freedom to customize a studio that fits them perfectly, students will only need to bring a love of music to get started!

Web Design

Getting into website design is easier than ever, but with that convenience comes a tsunami of tools, tutorials, and DIY tips.  Crafting U helps students identify and utilize the best of these tools into a skill that is virtually always in demand. What students can create is only limited by what they can dream.

Remedial Reading

Our remedial reading course is designed for the student who would rather read a dialog box than a book.  Students use classic and current literature as a guide to complete levels and worlds in the game Minecraft.  The information needed to be successful in the game is found in the literature, and each lesson is aligned to state and federal standards.

Remedial Math

Similar to the reading course, our math course uses the game Minecraft to give students a more hands-on opportunity to use math for a purpose.  Students will need to master concepts aligned to state standards in order to complete these virtual challenges.
